Production Planner/Master Scheduler

We are seeking a Production Planner/Master Scheduler with the following qualifications:

 

Bachelors Degree in Business Management or manufacturing-related technical degree

 

APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management

 

Seven to ten years experience in a manufacturing environment including similar production planning activities.

 

Strong knowledge of discrete electro-mechanical manufacturing processes.

 

  Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

 

  Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

 

Thorough understanding and application of computer-based Manufacturing Requirements Planning and Execution system tools (Item data, BOM, MRP II, Purchasing, PAC, SFC, etc.)

 

Experience with PC based office tools, word processing, spreadsheet analysis, email, internet usage and application

 

The Production Planner/Master Scheduler will be responsible for maintaining a clear understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of our business and will generate material and labor plans in support of our corporate goals.  More specifically, this position will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining the Master Production Schedule and subordinate production plans as necessary and assuring there are optimal stocking levels of materials to execute those plans in support of the approved Master Production Schedule, approved Spare Part Forecast, active customer orders, and internal Development and Engineering and Customer Service demands.
