Production Shift Supervisor

INTERPLASTIC CORPORATION is a leading manufacturer and national supplier of polyester resins, vinyl ester resins, gel coats, and colorants.  We have an immediate opening for a PRODUCTION SHIFT SUPERVISOR at our Minneapolis, Minnesota Manufacturing facility.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

·  Promote and practice safe work habits.

·  Ensure employees perform their duties safely and follow all safety procedures.

·  Promote quality through actions; convey to employees the importance of producing quality products.

·  Expedite production; strive for maximum output under any conditions.

·  Keeps communication flowing; information is a key tool in successful management.

·  Help flag potential problems to insure a constant production flow.

·  Monitor equipment to prevent downtime and report malfunctions.

·  Help solve problems encountered and formulate new procedures when needed.

·  Train new employees and update training of tenure employees.

·  Ensure all procedures are followed.

·  Other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 Associates Degree 5 years relevant Chemical industry experience or experience in the process industry. Proven track record of managing production activities in batch chemical manufacturing. Proven track record of managing production employees Experience with quality systems such as ISO9000 Proven capability managing multiple activities Possess the capability to work in a fast paced-cross functional environment.
