Production Supervisor

Fisher Barton Specialty Products Inc. is a rapidly growing manufacturer of heat treated and metal stamped components.  Founded in 1973, the Fisher Barton family consists of five companies working together to provide superior components for such industries as lawn and garden, construction, agriculture, and automotive.

Job Purpose:

Manufactures products by supervising staff; organizing and monitoring work flow.

Duties:

* Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

* Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.

* Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process, along with the personnel and resources; studying methods and implementing cost reductions; developing and reporting procedures and systems;  initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between production areas.

* Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress;  resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow. Maintains quality requirements by instructing and enforcing organizational standards.

* Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

* Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.

* Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

* Studies production schedules and estimates work hour requirements for completion of job assignments, communicating necessary information for a smooth flow of production across shifts.

* Acts as an advocate for and enforces safety regulations and interprets company policies to employees.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
