Production Team Leader

Glanbia Foods, Inc., one of the largest American-style cheese manufacturers in the Unites States, is currently seeking a Production Team Leader.

Primary responsibilities:

Assist management in ensuring plant productivity, quality, and safety standards are met
Coordinate production within budget parameters
Schedule and coordinate shifts and employees’ work schedules
Conduct audits to ensure employees are performing tasks according to standards operating procedures (SOP)
Ensure government compliance: USDA, FDA, etc.
Perform inventory checks and sampling
Coordinate, with logistics and warehouse, shipping
Provide performance coaching to hourly employees
Ensure all equipment is running properly and coordinate needed repairs
Conduct employee meetings, supervise production workforce and assist in employment resolution
Manage in process targets to ensure quality products

Required Skills:Bachelor’s degree in a hard science preferred but not required; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
