Job Responsibilities:

- The Program Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for Corning programs using Microsoft Project and a Manufacturing

- Resource Planning (MRP) system. Duties include program plan baseline change control, collection and tracking of performance, performing critical path analysis and assisting with variance analyses. 

- The individual participates in metrics analysis & reporting and assists in assessing risks and risk abatement recommendations.

- This Program Planner would work closely with finance and the program managers to ensure good cost/schedule integration for earned value and support of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) tracking. 

- The Planner would also provide recommendations regarding corrective action measures or changes regarding schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, funding allocations and manpower requirements to ensure that programs meet or exceed schedule commitments. 

- As part of the Program Management team the Program Planner will primarily interface with

Program and Project Managers, other Planners or individuals within Design Engineering,

Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or Quality

 

Experience:

2 years related training/experience in business, engineering, finance, or project planning; or equivalent combination of experience & education.

-  Must possess good analytical, presentation and communication skills

-  Must have the ability to learn to execute process and procedures in a structured environment

-  2 years demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

-  Must possess skills and interest in business planning

-  Absolute attention to details

-  Experience using a computerized scheduling tool (e.g. MS Project, Primavera)
