Programmer

SUMMARY: 

The Programmer spends the about 60% of the time working with users and creating reports in the intranet, 20% of the time in maintenance and 20% in improving the processes and planning for the future.  This Programmer will report to the IT Director. 



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

 Create and maintains reports on the company’s key performance indicator report and intranet pages Create and modify features in existing web applications to support operation and regulation requirements. Create, modify and monitor DTS packages and Jobs to transfer data from multiple databases for data analysis and KPI reports. Create Ad-hoc reports per requests from managers. Data transfer from old system to new system in an event of system upgrade or new implementation. Document and train technical and non-technical personals on newly added or modify features. Support, debug, enhance, and tune existing features of internal web applications. Research and investigate new technologies to enhance structure of reports and applications.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

 Proficient in programming in ASP, ASP.NET (C#), XML, and HTML. Proficient in SQL 2000/2005 in TSQL, DTS, Analysis Cubes, and Performance tuning. Proficient in using the Microsoft development tools Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2003/2005. Proficient skill with reporting software i.e. Crystal Report, SQL Reporting ServicesExcellent skill with Excel, Word and Access including Access Project Basic knowledge of accounting Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent documentation skills; and demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.

EXPERIENCE:

 

  1.   2+ years of experience as a programmer using SQL and Crystal and or Dot.net

  2.   Must have ASP.net experience

  3. Have advanced MS Office experience and Access knowledge

  4.   Worked with other departments to create necessary parameters and appropriate rules for reports.

  5.  Experience working in manufacturing, transportation or construction environments would be preferred.

  6.  Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
