Project Development Manager

A leading national provider of oil and gas production equipment supply and services company headquartered in Houston, TXis currently seeking an experienced Project Development - R&D. This position reports to the Director Research & Development and is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma  (Relocating to Houston once the Lab move is complete.)

 

 

Position Description:

This position will be responsible for managing both laboratory and field projects related to the oil / gas products being developed by the Research & Development staff.  The R&D Staff of 20 consists of 14 engineers, 3 chemists and support staff.

 Areas of product development include oil dehydration / desalting utilizing electrostatic fields, oil/water/gas separation utilizing primary and secondary separation methods including cyclonic processes, water treatment processes including fluidized separation, and gas processes including membranes and chemical scavengers.

 The candidate would oversee the initial laboratory testing to define the product parameters, scale to a pilot facility for confirmation testing and mange the design, manufacturing and testing of the first commercial unit.   

 Skills required include the ability to produce and read engineering specifications and data sheets, produce engineering drawings, prepare RFQ’s,  work with sub-contractors, develop control schemes, and write operating manuals.

 Interface with engineering, drafting, procurement, purchasing, management and vendors to schedule work,

 

Education & RequirementsBachelors Degree in Engineering discipline.5 to 10 years experience in a product development environmentKnowledge of project scheduling, cause and effect diagrams and front end engineering requirementsAbility to meet crucial deadlines
