PROJECT ENGINEER - Electrical Controls

Work for a Leading Manufacturer!!!Candidate must have a 4-year Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and at least 3-4 years of experience in developing electronic controls for an appliance manufacturer or equivalent Gas appliance controls preferred The successful candidate will have strong troubleshooting and communication skills to work with board development companies; a successful history of electronic component development and strong specification writing experience The candidate must possess a mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand application needs Test Fixture development Dealing with UL, CSA and European standards Sustaining engineering of our existing products, addressing field related issues and making improvements Working with Project Engineers on their respective projects Responsible for managing all aspects of project assignments using the Product Development Process as a guide to achieve the objectives of the projects.  Directs and coordinates a project team in the planning, organization, implementation, and completion of engineering project assignments Plans and implements engineering programs using the Product Development Process as a guide to achieve the objectives of the project Acts as liaison with all departmental contacts as required to gain input when needed, and effectively communicates the status of project activity routinely through scheduled project reviews/reports Provides detailed test programs and guidance to assigned lab and design personnel in the conductance and documentation of product specific test standards.  Evaluates date and makes recommendations. Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems as they arise. Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Interacts with Engineering and other departmental staff to provide input regarding areas of individual expertise. Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget. Travels as needed to complete agency certification, review field installations, attend meetings, etc.Pro-E a Plus!
