Exterran is seeking Project Engineer – Entry for our Midland, TX location. Primary Responsibilities and Assignments
 
Performs basic research and analyses of data such as customer design proposal, specifications, drawings, industry codes and equipment manuals to determine feasibility of design or application of equipment. Performs computer analysis of both reciprocating and rotorary compression equipment, utilizing various manufacturer's PC based sizing programs. Develops driver ratings and selection of reciprocating engines or electric motors for project specifications. Develops and analyzes project specific process and auxillary heat exchanger recommendations.  Performs basic engineering calculations to size & design pressure vessels (ASME Code), piping (ANSI B31.3 & B31.8) and valves to develop flow diagrams to ensure products and systems conform to industry and company engineering design standards and customer specifications. Performs sizing calculations and confirms expected deliveries on Company manufactured production equipment, such as dehydration, 2 & 3 phase seperation, filtration and line heaters. Ensures project-engineering work is completed accurately and on schedule. Develops bills of material and shop notes meeting the customer's requirements and the specific requirements of the order in compliance with accepted practices and applicable industry codes. Coordinates with drafting to develop general arrangement and assembly drawings for other departments and the customer.  Works with the shop to meet their assembly and shipping requirements for each unit. Provides regular updates of design status, drawings, BOMS, buyouts. Ensures shipping list/ packing info is created on time and accurately.

Education and Certification
Required:Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or equilivant industry experience. 2+ years related experience and/or training.

Specific Work Background/Experience
Required:Must be able to mullet task. Must be able to work under pressure. Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.

Special Requirements/Additional Comments
Required:
Familiar with MS Suite of Office programs. Familiar with Autocad 2008, Compress Coade 6258 & Oracle programs.
