Day to Day Responsibilities:
1. Initial 3 month training period will consist of hands on training.
2. After 3 month period the individual will be a project engineer for new molds and manufacturing projects.
Projects involved with:
1. Act as project leader for mold development projects.
2. Provide engineering services to molding area.
3. Support and development of productivity and cost reduction programs.
4. Develop manufacturing instructions and maintain engineering documentation program.
5. Support the Quality program and Customer feedback.
6. Develop programs to reduce Cost of Quality.
7. Leads/participates on product transfer programs.
8. Performs layouts to optimize utilization of resources.
9. Performs and supports projects and assignments as required.
10. Provides support to the Continual Improvement Suggestion Program.
Role in the group
1. Provide engineering support related to tool procurement, development projects, process control, product design, quality, production processes, cost reductions, and technological changes in the molding areas of CCS.
Travel Requirements:
1. Some travel may be required with the possibility of international travel.
Required Education:
1. Bachelor of Science.
Required Years and Area of Experience:
1. 5 years
Required Skills:
1. Knowledge of injection mold functions
2. Knowledge of plastic resin, their physical properties and behaviors
3. Ability to perform root cause analysis of problems
4. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
5. Limited CAD skills with the ability to open, view and interpret mold designs
