This includes responsibility for development of project scope through start-up and commissioning. The overall objective is to ensure the project meets or exceeds it's goals.Responsibilities include: Provide site leadership for the project team to ensure proper resourcing, organization, and priorities are in place to make the project successful Works with site and corporate EHS and Operating areas to assure compliance and safety of projects throughout the project life Serve as a focal point for the corporate engineering office on assigned projects. Manages the development, evaluation, engineering, design, controls, procurement and construction phases of project implementation in order to ensure project completion as efficiently and effectively as possible Design of mechanical or other technical systems (some projects) Plans, directs and leads the work assignments for the functional personnel that are assigned to a specific project or group of projects Familiarity with a variety of the concepts, practices, and procedures of EPC (Engineer, Procure and Construct) companiesEDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor DegreeREQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: BS in engineering 3 yrs experience as a project engineer/manager 2 yrs experience at a manufacturing site Experience with field construction and project start-up assistancePREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: BS in mechanical engineering 5 yrs experience as a project engineer/manager Experience with chemical or polymer manufacturing Professional Engineers licenseWe are an equal opportunity employer.
