Project Manager Industrial Cranes

We currently are searching for a Project Manager for our Birmingham location. In this position you will have full project responsibility for industrial crane projects starting from customer order through commissioning and customer sign-off/hand-off (which is to include participation/introduction of service organization). The primary focus is to deliver the project scope as per contract documents within schedule and quality requirements while meeting/exceeding margin estimates.You will manage, coordinate and schedule multiple customer projects involving several company locations and various subcontractors and suppliers. Scope will include confirmation/procurement of components, engineering, manufacturing, transportation, installation and start-up. Project Manager will be the primary point of contact with the customer and must manage change orders, document and information flow/requests and ensure adherence to contract documents. Additional management requirements include: managing field subcontractors, runway design projects, steel and component procurement and freight logistics.You will actively participate in the continuous development, improvement and implementation of processes, procedures, systems and methodology in the industrial crane delivery process (from order entry through commissioning); this will include being part of a broader team that encompasses other project managers, sales managers, manufacturing managers, component suppliers and product/system managers.Qualifications include 5 years OEM or construction project management experience. Must have mechanical, structural and electrical aptitude and good communication skills. Must be able to use MS Office, MS Project and planning system software. College Degree preferred. Position requires some travel.
