Purchasing Assistant

Agusta Aerospace Corporation (AAC), a division of Agusta Westland, the worlds leading international aerospace and helicopter manufacturer is searching for a Purchasing Assistant in our Procurement department. We are strategically located next to the Northeast Philadelphia airport in northeast section of Philadelphia and immediately outside of lower Bucks County, PA.

 

On Tuesday, February 19, 2008 we celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by dignitaries, parent company executives and employees to commemorate the opening of our state of art AW139 manufacturing facility. In addition to the AW139 assembly, AAC is also responsible for A119 Ke production and supporting the expanding fleet of AgustaWestland helicopters in North and South America. This plant is also provides flight and ground course training activities.

Summary of Position:

 

Reporting to the Administration Procurement Supervisor performs the following duties and responsibilities:Faxing and mailing of procurement documents (purchase orders, vendor request for quotes).Distribution of procurement documents, filing and maintaining central files.Data entry of purchase order acknowledgements.Providing clerical support to the Expediting Unit.Typing technical reports and business correspondence.Timely distribution of faxes, purchase orders, vendor RFQs and reports.Accurate and up-to-date filing documents and maintaining the procurement central files.

 

A. Education: HS diploma or equivalent

 

B. Experience:  1 to 2 years of administrative support in progressive corporate environment.

 

C. Competencies & Attributes

·  Type minimum 30wpm accurately.

·  Ability to multi-task in a dynamic growing company

·  Skilled in Microsoft Office

·  Strong oral/written communication skills.

·  Ability to file using alpha/numeric system.
