Purchasing - Procurement

Vision Products, a manufacturer and installer of commercial building products that include, but are not limited to,  metals architectural metals (stairs, handrails, structural, custom fabrication), doors (aluminum, stainless steel, all glass swing and sliding systems) and specialty glass (laminated, bent, cast, painted, etched).  A stable organization with 48 years in operation continues to grow broadening product offering and range of installation services is looking for a self motivated professional for the following position. 

 

Position Description:Establish and maintain a good working relationship with vendors.  Maintain record of quotes and purchase cost from vendors. Maintain records of quotes / costs.Create, distribute and purchase ordersFollow up / expedite open purchase ordersFollow up /  manage back ordersCoordinate ordering and inventory levels with appropriate users, Purchasing and Outside vendors.Perform product research to obtain information required for initial negotiation of a contract, including consideration of company's general needs; servicing: future needs and possible interfacing of equipment.Analyzes and resolve basic receipt of goods and invoice issues.Maintain communicate of order status to requester.Maintain system information for each vendor with regards to contact data & price

 

Skills and Requirements Include:Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Deal with problem involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Familiar with MRP, Inventory management systems, strong Microsoft Office Products and Mas90 Accounting software.Certified Purchasing Manager Certificate is a plus
