The Environmental Monitoring Team is seeking a Quality Associate I to perform testing of the facility's environmentally controlled areas to ensure product quality and sterility. In this critical position, the employee will be responsible for: Daily viable and non-viable environmental monitoring of class 100, 10,000, and 100,000 rooms; Perform routine and non-routine personnel monitoring and gown qualification; Initiate/Approve Laboratory Investigations Perform and summarize special laboratory projects; In addition, the employee will document testing, read and record results or confirm readings and results, and enter and approve Laboratory Information System and Microbiology Information Management System data. QUALIFICATIONS: The qualified applicant must have a BS/BA degree in Microbiology, Biology, Medical Technology or related scientific discipline and 0-2 years relevant experience. The candidate must be detail oriented, be able to document work accurately, and verify extensive amounts of data with minimal error. The candidate must be a team player, but also have the ability to work independently under minimal supervision. The candidate must be computer literate and able to use sophisticated laboratory data management systems. In addition, the candidate must have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with peers, department management, and production supervision; Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and perform work in an efficient manner; Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and complete them in a timely manner; and Ability to gown and work in aseptic areas using aseptic technique. Work schedule is 1st shift, M-F. May be required to work weekends on a rotating basis and work unscheduled overtime to support production.
