QUALITY & ASSOCIATE PROGRAM MANAGER
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and improving Smiths' Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements. The incumbent will interface with internal and external ISO auditors and registrars and deliver verbal and written status reports. In addition to managing and reporting on ISO/QMS activities, the selected candidate will perform a range of administrative duties dealing with numeric data, product information, and work processes, including equipment performance measurements, organizational process descriptions, and the collection, organization, and reporting of diverse technical data.
Specifically, the Quality & Associate Program Manager will:
• Communicate internally and externally as necessary to ensure timely and consistent progress of completion of tasks required to advance the QMS.
• Broadcast widely, in writing and verbally, key information that affects the direction or scope of the QMS.
• Assemble and lead an internal auditor team, perform internal audits and orchestrate the activities of others on the team, plan audits and schedule accordingly in compliance with ISO requirements.
• Support the internal ISO management review process and coordinate periodic management meetings.
• Work with individuals within the service group to identify and record process descriptions.
• Assist in document creation (format and content) for product upgrades.
• Actively seek out potential obstacles to progress and take actions or create short term plans to remove or mitigate the effects of such barriers.
• Data collection regarding product performance.
• Process data to produce summarized results.
• Provide data and reports required for compliance with contract conditions.
• Respond to or assist with responses to Requests for Proposal/Quote (RFP/RFQ).
• Create or assist in the creation of or response to Statements of Work (SOW).
• Track the status of product changes, upgrades, retrofits, etc.
• Travel and work overtime or hours other than Monday-Friday when required.
• Comply with and ensure department compliance with company health, safety and environmental policies and with applicable U.S. export control and security regulations.
Requirements include:
• Associate's degree or 5 years of related experience. Equivalence achieved through comparative work and life experience is acceptable. Current certification in a quality-related discipline by ASQ, IRCA or RABQSA preferred.
• Experience should include developing and maintaining Quality Management System for ISO-certified company, managing cross-functional project teams, performing statistical analyses and preparing graphical reports using MS Excel.
• Competency in the use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs
• Ability to translate raw data into summarized reports.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately with an attention to detail.
