Quality Assurance Associate

The Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for incoming receiving inspection of components to ensure compliance with documented engineering and manufacturing requirements. This function directly supports the Quality function and falls under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Assurance Associate releases incoming materials for use and documents non-conformances for follow up and resolution. The successful incumbent will perform a variety of tasks under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Position Qualification Requirements:Minimum – AAS degree and/or equivalent Quality Engineering/Receiving inspection training and experience. Additional training in inspection techniques may be required. Minimum – 3 years of experience in electro-mechanical device receiving and assembly inspection (5 years preferred). Ability to use and understand statistical sampling plans. Ability to use and understand engineering and manufacturing drawings, standards, dimensioning, including geometrical dimensional tolerancing. Ability to read and understand detailed instructions, inspection and manufacturing procedures and drawings. ISO training and experience preferred.
