Quality Assurance Representative

Munters Corporation, the global leader in state-of-the-art air treatment technology, currently has an immediate opportunity for a Quality Assurance Representative in its San Antonio, TX operation.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

To perform operational and quality assurance tests and inspections on completed units and works-in process. Train team members in all areas of manufacturing to support long term goal of quality in process.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·  Train of manufacturing personnel in proper work procedures

·  Perform operational tests on units in process.

·  Perform quality assurance inspections, identify and document non-conformances

·  Preparation and loading of units for shipment including securing of items, preparation of documentation (BOL’s, etc), rigging, hoisting and securing units

·  Direct other workers in the correction of non-conformances in structural, mechanical, and electrical assemblies

·  Assist in the administration of (ECR/N, BOM, NCM) procedures and storage of quality records

·  Perform corrections, repairs and assembly in addition to efforts of other workers as needed to meet production delivery goals

·  Conduit benders (manual and hydraulic), wire cutting and stripping tools, multi-meters, dielectric strength/insulation resistance (hi-potential) testers, and other items common to the electrical trades.

·  Hand tools such as air impact bolt drivers, air or electric screwdrivers, drills, reciprocating saws, jig saws, caulking guns, other common hand tools and measuring instruments

·  Use of machine tools such as drill presses, vertical and horizontal band saws, circular saws, reciprocating saws, etc.

·  Use of material handling equipment such as bridge and jib cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

·  Performance of quality assurance inspections and reporting of results, documentation of product delivery and efficiency data.

·  Perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner, insuring the work area is clean and orderly throughout the process.

·  Familiarity with problem resolution and corrective action procedures for resolving NCM, ECR, material requisition, and other issues.

·  Contribution, trial, and evaluation of efficiency, quality, and safety improvement ideas based on internal and external proposals.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Maintain Quality System standards

·  Observe all safety rules.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

·  2-5 years quality inspection experience

·  Ability to train other team members.

·  Good written and verbal communication skills required

·  Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices

·  Ability to perform statistical calculations

·  Skilled and experienced with using power, air and hydraulic operated tools common to the trade.

·  Capability of reading circuit diagrams and schematics, ladder logic diagrams and layout drawings.

·  Preparation of routing and layout drawings/sketches for components, conductors, and control cabinets

·  Ability to troubleshoot circuits and devices and recommend changes or improvements

·  Familiarity with current NEC code requirements and interpretation.

·  Complete knowledge of refrigeration operation systems:  charging, brazing, check sub-cool and set super heat.

·  Understands electrical theory and practice as applied to the operation of such components as electric motors, motor starters, contractors, control relays, time delay relays, circuit breakers, fusing, PLC’s, fluid flow and temperature sensors, and other related electrical, pneumatic and mechanical components.
