Quality Assurance and Lean Systems Manager

We seek a motivated, assertive, and influential leader for our Quality Assurance and Lean Systems Manager role.

 

The QA and Lean Systems Manager is responsible for the maintenance and reporting on the performance of the company quality system and will function as the management representative.  The QA and Lean Systems Manager is responsible for acting as a liaison with auditors, customers and production supervisors about matters relating to the quality system.  The QA and Lean Systems Manager will be an active leader of the manufacturing management team and must demonstrate decision-making ability that reflects a business partner mentality. The role is also responsible for overseeing Lean Manufacturing activities at all ReCellular locations.  This position will report to the Director of Manufacturing and will be primarily responsible for the development and implementation of lean processes within ReCellular, Inc.  Such processes include: Kan Ban, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, One Piece Flow, Standardized Work, Practical Problem Solving, Lean Administration and Visibility Management.

 

To perform the job successfully, an individual be able to travel frequently as the business needs require. The individual must have the ability to learn and adapt quickly, pay close attention to detail and exhibit manual dexterity.  A demonstrated ability to interact with customers, vendors and outsourcers in resolving quality issues is a must. A demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve using root-cause analysis is essential.  Ideal candidates will have exceptional mathematical, analytical and statistical calculation skills.  The ability to work within teams or independently is a must.  The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions is a must.  Candidates must have demonstrated persuasion and leadership skills.  The ability to manage time, prioritize and orchestrate multiple tasks is essential. The ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines is essential.

 

Candidates must have proficient Microsoft office suite skills and experience (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).  A Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Industrial Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent is required.  At least five (5) years of work experience in a Quality-related function is required. 3-5 years of direct lean manufacturing management skills in implementing lean systems. Strong statistical skill is highly desirable.
