Quality Control / Assurance Director

 

Goya Foods, Inc., a leader in the food industry based in Secaucus, is seeking a Quality Control/Assurance Director to join our team.

 

Summary: Candidate will be responsible for developing and directing a quality control program through internal and external inspection of raw materials to finish product, analyze quality data and defect analysis to determine appropriate and corrective action plans, document production compliance with GMP, training of QC personnel, monitoring environmental programs, and maintaining a database of product specifications.

Candidate will provide leadership for development and implementation of all new systems, in addition to working with vendors and key production plant personnel to maintain quality standards, product compliance to specification, and developing programs to assist in the improvement and increase food safety.

 

 

Preferred qualifications, Bachelor’s degree in food science and/or food process engineering plus  8 to 10 years of related experience in food product development or quality control.
