Quality Control Manager

SUMMARY

Executes quality assurance programs designed to ensure continuous production of products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Develops and analyze routine and ad-hoc quality data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.

Facilitate, develop and implement PPAP, PFMEA and APQP activities.

Set up computer-aided SPC work stations on machines to monitor process capability.

Creates and implements criteria for inspection, testing, evaluation and gaging procedures.

Directs staff engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products throughout the production cycle.

Determine and/or approve equipment and gage acquisitions.

Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.

Recommends methods to improve product quality.

Maintains quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
