Quality Control Supervisor

International Fiber Corp., headquartered in North Tonawanda, NY with 4 manufacturing plants around the world, is the world leader in fiber ingredients. IFC is actively seeking a Plant Quality Control Supervisor to join our team at our Urbana, Ohio manufacturing facility.

This position is responsible for conducting and managing daily quality related inspections of plant practices (shipping, processing and documentation), communicating all quality related issues to plant management, and conducting final quality checks of all finished material prior to shipment to customers. 

Additional duties are as follows:
Work with quality control lab and plant management team; Participate in quality improvement programs and make recommendations to management; Perform detailed investigations of non-conforming product deviations and customer inquiries; Prepare for and participate in customer and third party quality audits; Plan and set-up quality duties including mock recall, plant sanitation, internal inspections and audits, HACCP procedure updates, etc.; Ensure that required quality and food safety standards are continually improved to meet current and future customer and regulatory requirements.

 
The successful candidate has a bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) and two to three years of experience working as a quality control supervisor or technician preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands / Requirements:
This position requires the ability to physically move continuously throughout the plant during an eight hour shift (walking, climbing, bending, etc.) and the ability to comfortably lift/carry/push/pull bags that weigh up to 55lbs.  Must also be able to wear personal protective equipment and pass a pre-employment physical.
