We are currently looking for a Quality Control Supervisor for our McKinney, TX location.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring products are developed and manufactured in accordance with the company Quality System and meet domestic and international regulations and standards. Supervises and trains Quality Control Inspectors and implements and supports Quality Control inspection activities. The position ensures compliance with quality system and other standards and regulations, company quality requirements, and corporate objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of position):

Implement and record first article, receiving, final and other inspection and testing processes. Supervision and scheduling of Quality Control activities: inspection and testing; and support of other quality, design and production activities related to verification and validation of products, equipment, and processes. Direct authority over Quality Control personnel including supervision, scheduling and development. Manage non-conforming material and coordinate disposition processes; leader of the Material Review Board. Review and approve specifications to ensure Quality Control has the ability to inspect and test. Root cause analysis, problem solving, continuous improvement and related corrective and preventive action as they apply to Quality Control functions. Procure, maintain and otherwise manage Quality Control equipment (except calibration) and other assets. Input into, and development of, specifications, standards, test protocols, test reports, procedures and other documentation and records related to the above-listed responsibilities. Functional authority over process and design activities as it applies to ensuring products and processes meet related specification, standard and regulatory requirements. Quality system compliance in above-listed areas. Quality reporting: tracking; compiling; and reporting quality metrics. Support development of capital and operating budgets for the Quality Control Department.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years related experience; or Associates degree in science-related field and 3 years related experience; or Bachelor’s degree in science-related field and 1 year related experience. Knowledgeable in metrology. Proficient at reading blueprints and schematics; must know and understand how to apply GD&T. Capable using statistical techniques: sampling theory, probability, reliability, capability, etc. Analog and digital circuit design and analysis experience. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well with cross-functional teams. Computer knowledge: MS Word; MS Excel, MS Project, etc. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines and objectives as directed.

NONESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS(not necessary but preferred):
Medical device or other health-related field experience ASQ Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) Quality Engineer (CQE) Six-Sigma training a plus. Experience with workflow-based quality management software a plus. Experience with Oracle a plus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:No direct budget responsibility. Non-exempt Quality Control Inspectors / Technicians.
