Quality Control Technician

12 hour night shift, 5pm-5am

We manufacture the highest quality and most competitive disc brake calipers and control brake systems in the world. By utilizing the Just-In-Time production model we are able to identify and solve problems efficiently at virtually every step of the manufacturing process. At ADVICS, Quality Technicians test and inspect components and products at all levels of complexity and difficulty. The individual in this position will evaluate statistical data to determine the quality and reliability of our products and processes.

 

Specific responsibilities include: Development of methods and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluation by devising set-ups or making adaptations to inspection equipment and fixtures; Inspection of all types of tools, gauges, fixtures, and parts to determine the accuracy of workmanship and functional performance; Set up and use of all types of measuring devices and instruments for precision checking and adjusting of various tools and gauges; Programming and operation of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to assure product quality by inspection of first article, regular production, and re-run or reworked machined components.

Requirements include 3-5 years of related experience and/or training at the Technician level. Candidates must have the ability to program Coordinate Measuring Machines; an ability to program Mitutoyo machines is a plus. The individual in this position will work closely with all levels of the organization. Additionally, the incumbent will be self-directed, and able to accomplish multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a 12 -hour shift (5:00PM - 5:00AM), with alternate days off each week. Team members working this schedule work no more than four days in any given week.
