Receiving Inspector (Electromechanical)

Capstone Turbine, the world's leading producer of very low-emission micro turbine systems used for on site power production, has an immediate opening for a Receiving Inspector (Electromechanical). The person we seek will perform non-routine visual, mechanical, dimensional or electrical inspections of a variety of products, primarily in receiving and occasionally in the production assembly and test.  Determines acceptability, identifies and recommends disposition of defective materials in accordance with established procedures.  Will inspect, test and audit inspection processes, including welded assemblies of the product, for compliance to Engineering Specifications and Customer Requirements.  Determine producibility and acceptance of complex electro-mechanical systems with no-go gages, process control charts and various test methods.  Participate in Corrective and Preventive Action, and Manufacturing support efforts to ensure production of quality product in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer focused environment. Participate and / or performs root cause analysis and verification.  Ability to accurately perform internal inspecting to close/critical tolerances.  Interface with engineering and manufacturing to develop processes and perform failure analysis.  Able to administrate MRB activity and disposition non-conforming material. 

5 years minimum experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or Commercial Manufacturing with an ISO based Quality System.  Power Generation/Utility and/or Jet/Turbine Power Systems and operation of CMM experience is beneficial but not necessary.  ISO/QS/TS/AS Quality System experience is beneficial.  Able to interpret and inspect to drawings, models, and sketches.  Able to use various standard measuring and test equipment
