We are one of the world's largest paper recyclers, handling more than 6 million tons of paper every year -- the equivalent of more than 120,000 railcars. We have recycling facilities throughout the United States. A majority of the recycled paper is used in Weyerhaeuser mills, with the balance sold domestically and worldwide.  Background: This position is a part of the Itasca Recycling Sales Team.  The Sales & Procurement Representative is responsible for ethically and professionally representing Weyerhaeuser in the recycling marketplace.  This requires developing and fostering sound customer relationships based on total customer satisfaction.  A Sales & Procurement Representative evaluates a customer's recycling needs and offers recommendations to fulfill those needs while striving to generate and maintain profitability to achieve unit objectives and business goals.Key Functions: Acts as a liaison between the customer and the plant to ensure a timely, accurate information flow between the two.  Develops a clear understanding of customers' business and critical requirements through frequent visits to customers' facilities.  Handles customer complaints promptly and effectively.  Practices effective time and territory management. Understands and sells to the plant's capabilities using professional sales methods for acquiring new business.  Functions effectively as a member of a sales team.  Interfaces effectively with other departments and maintains open lines of communication with stakeholders.The following qualifications are required: Minimum two years successful direct outside sales experience. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities. Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to listen, understand and analyze the needs of customers. Ability to recognize changes in market conditions and adapt marketing strategies accordingly. Strong people skills, with the ability to work with a variety of personalities from diverse backgrounds. Working knowledge of personal computer applications (Word, Excel).
