Regional Sales Manager - Eastern Region

This position can be based anywhere in the Eastern US Under the direction and supervision of the National Sales Manager, this position is responsible for driving profitable growth of the Home Care by Moen product line for the wholesale and retail segments of the DME (Durable Medical Equipment) channel. Assists in determining the sales plan for assigned Independent Sales Rep Agencies. Manage, motivate and train assigned agencies. Quantitatively and qualitatively track, measure and manage agency performance, communicating appropriate recommendations to National Sales Manager. Analyze market situations and execute growth strategies to maximize performance. Establish and maintain continuous communication and follow-up with key customers and assume responsibility for follow-up actions to ensure customer satisfaction and strong business relationships are maintained. Establish and track new business leads, contacts and target customers. Assist in the planning of trade shows and required industry events, participating as required.

Team Building and Strategy Development Assist in the development and implementation of programs and strategies to further develop the DME Channel. Co-ordinate efforts between internal team, assigned rep agencies and customers to gain go-forward commitments through cross-functional team leadership. Participate in managing ongoing business processes, issues and field communication relative to the DME channel including: monthly forecasting, cost saving initiatives, etc. Monitor business trends, distribution patterns, consumer and trade attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance characteristic, communicating information to the National Sales Manager in a timely manner. Assist and guide inter-company departments in the most effective methods for soliciting/servicing DME channel customers, including matters involving prices, products, quality, distribution requirements and special services.  Keeps all those concerned advised of significant developments that may affect handling of these accounts.

Undergraduate degree required, with concentration in Business Administration preferred. MBA preferred but not required. 3 to 5 years sales experience with proven track-record of sales goal attainment and program development within the DME channel. Previous sales rep agency management required. Established relationships with DME distributors, wholesalers, retailers and rep agencies. Ability to train large and small groups of people. Team player with good interpersonal skills to lead/coach cross-functional teams. Strong computer skills and aptitude (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Excellent organization and communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills complimented with strong analytic skills. Up to 60% travel, mainly to customer locations, trade shows, rep agency locations, company functions Position can be based anywhere in the Eastern US
