Develop and implement sales tactics in support of the division Strategies and Objectives. Remain at or below the assigned sales expense plan for the region.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Lead the sales team in operating in a safe and environmentally conscious manner. Provide Preferred Service and Preferred Quality to our customers.Evaluate sales potential in areas and product categories, assess the competition, pricing levels, new product potential, market trends, etc. and liase with Marketing, Finance and Technical Support.Prepare the annual sales and expense plans for the region and the individual sales territories.Prepare an Action Plan to exceed the assigned budget:- Develop overall methods, plans and procedures.- Manage internal requirements including manpower, travel, training, customer business plans, call frequency requirements.- Implement personal internal requirements, including personally calling on large customers, potential large customers, to include architects, contractors, and distributors. Develop a working relationship with the key decision-makers in each business.Implement external requirements including number and location of distributors both exclusive and shared, their goals, our market share goals, product mix, inventory requirements,etc.Manage the sales team activities to optimize their effectiveness in the field.Settle directly as many of the customer issues as possible.Implement and review a "Project Tracking Program" for the region.Develop and coach the sales team in pursuit of corporate and personal goals.Review each sales rep against stated performance goals and assist in development of plan for improvement.Conduct quarterly performance reviews with key customers.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:Requires an appropriate degree from a reputable university, plus ten years of relevant experience.PREFERRED OR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:A high level of integrity, intelligence and initiative.FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY:Effectively manage the assigned expense budget for the area of responsibility. Forecasts and prepares annual sales and expense budgets. Effectively manages assigned budget. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:5 to 9 Sales RepsWORKING CONDITIONS:Works primarily from home office with travel 2 - 4 days per week. Must have valid drivers license.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:May require visits to manufacturing locations or construction sites where personal protection equipment is mandated. Plants visits may require considerable walking or access limitations such as stairs, confined areas and rough terrain. May be some exposure to dust, chemicals, temperature changes and noise.
