Regional Sales Manager SE
We are C-Tech Industries, North America’s largest manufacturer of commercial and industrial pressure washers and we are looking for an energetic Regional Sales Manager to manage and work with our accounts in the southeast region. Our corporate headquarters and specialist manufacturing facility is located approximately 5 miles east of the Glenn Jackson (I-205) bridge in Camas, Washington. The nature of this position will allow the successful candidate to work from their home.
MAJOR PURPOSE:
Achieve regional sales and profit goals by developing and implementing a sales plan that increases sales and optimizes profitability within assigned territory.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for the territory, following the policies and practices below:
1. Grow revenues and profits in all product categories: hot water pressure washers, cold water pressure washers, automatic parts washers, detergents, and parts/accessories
2. Complete an annual Territory Plan that identifies target accounts for growth, low-performing accounts for action, territories for new accounts, and then work that plan
3. Track performance goals for each account, communicate these expectations, and work with each account to achieve the goals
4. Provide training and coaching to Karcher accounts and customers in the areas of: product knowledge, merchandising, competitive selling, product applications, demonstration techniques, etc.
5. Provide a monthly recap report on the form provided
6. Provide Karcher account profiles and update annually
7. Provide timely information to Karcher on market and competitive conditions and new product opportunities
8. Use ACT to record rep and customer conversations, meetings, and actions taken, and provide those records to the company
9. Each month provide a rolling two month travel schedule
10. Use judgment to keep travel, entertainment, and other expenses reasonable, necessary, and consistent with Karcher policies
11. Adhere to the pricing policies of the company
12. As a salaried employee, support the company in promoting other C-Tech products and brands to Karcher customers such as Karcher Industrial Products, Watermaze, etc., and support company sales to government accounts, key accounts, and national accounts as requested
13. Assist the other Karcher Regional Sales Managers and Customer Service Representatives
14. Work in partnership with your assigned Karcher Customer Service Representative to grow revenues and profits, resolve customer problems and deliver a high level of service
15. Assist the credit department as requested in working with customers on collections, credit, and rep demo and flooring accounts
16. Present a professional image and demeanor to customers, follow all C-Tech employment policies, and conduct yourself and your business in a professional and ethical manner
17. Perform other duties as may be periodically assigned
Understands and performs this job within the scope of the C-Tech Quality Policy by following specified processes, procedures and work instructions when performing assigned tasks and acting on quality problems by utilizing the corrective & preventive action process.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelors degree (BA) from a 4-year college or university and at least 3 years successful sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Technical aptitude and technical service aptitude highly desired.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be able to drive a rented vehicle. Travel - 50%
Has a broad “big picture” knowledge of business. Possesses a working knowledge of and comfortable providing consulting and coaching in the areas of Marketing, Sales Management, Finance, Service, and Operations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to load, transport, and demonstrate heavy equipment from the back of a vehicle in manufacturing, construction, agricultural, and institutional environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, and contact management software required. Ability to effectively create and make presentations to distributors, national accounts and users is critical. Effective business writing skills are important. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of dealers, users, and internal managers is important.
Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a number of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
