Regional Transportation Analyst

BSH Home Appliances Corporation, the world’s third largest manufacturer of home appliances, with leading-edge high-end quality appliances with brands like, Bosch, Gaggenau, Siemens, & Thermador is seeking a Regional Transportation Analyst to work in our Corporate Office located in Huntington Beach, CA.

 

Responsibilities :

 

ØWrite and implement processes, standards, templates, SOP’s and training documents for Corporate, Transportation providers and Distribution Centers to establish standard work in each region.

Ø Record and analyze financial impact of newly implemented programs.

ØProcess and develop programs for measures on transit times.

ØImplement process for weekly reporting of transportation.

ØRecord and track volumes on shipments to ensure carrier compliance.

ØProcess and analyze reports to track service levels and categorize  trends.

ØProcess and record carrier compliance reporting.

ØCategorize and analyze transportation cost saving opportunities.

ØRecognize strategic opportunities for process improvement

 

Experience :

 

Ø  3 – 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, operations, distribution center, process, and logistics supply chain or related environment is required.

Ø  The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelors Degree in Business, Logistics or related field or hold equivalent experience.

Ø A strong understanding of logistics interaction between systems, processes, operations, transportation and order management.

Ø Ability to lead process implementation and motivate peers and indirect reports using effective inter-personal, communication, problem solving and people management skills. (This would include distribution center personnel, sales, DC Operations Mangers, 3PL providers, transportation and corporate office personnel.).

Ø Communicate openly and directly with active listening.

Ø SAP R / 3 experience is highly desired but not required.

Ø Understanding of Appliance Industry is a plus but not required

 

Requirements :

 

ØWorking knowledge of warehousing & transportation fundamentals.

ØIntermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Access, Excel, Visio, and Power Point).

ØAbility to effectively manage and drive processes from conception through implementation.

ØExcellent communication skills with the ability to excel in a cross functional work environment.

ØEffective training skills.

ØResults driven with proven follow through abilities.

ØHigh degree of independent decision making, resolution skills and strong problem identification skills.

ØAbility to travel (Less than 10%).
