Gentex Corporation, an internationally recognized leader in the manufacture of sophisticated life support systems, has an immediate opening for a Reliability & Logistics Engineer. The candidate will participate in all Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to implement reliability, supportability and logistics requirements.

Responsibilities: Generate safety and reliability program plans and the agreement of such plans with the customer; commensurate with their requirements. Conduct system and sub-system safety and reliability assessment activities in support of product development programs (e.g. FMECA’s, SWIFT)Provide direct logistics analytical support on development programs and related proposalsSupport program managers by applying analytical techniques and computer-based skills to perform Performance Based Logistics (PBL), Cost-As-Independent Variable (CAIV), Affordability, Total Ownership Cost/Life Cycle Cost (TOC/LCC), and related analysesWork with product engineering to develop cost-benefit trades for technical alternatives, derive costs for those technical options and models in CAIV and related software applicationsAnalyze supportability, logistics, reliability, maintainability, and supply chain risks on assigned programsAssist in the development of mitigation plansWork with industrial and government counterparts to develop maintenance plans, life cycle plans, and perform supportability analyses

Requirements/Qualifications: B.S. in Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related disciplineOver three years of LCC and CAIV analyses and logistics experiencePrior experience with RCM, FMECA, LORA, CATIA, reliability and/or mathematical/statistical software packages is desired
