Repair Technician

Requirements and Qualifications: Description of Duties Repair and Test Sony data storage tape drives (AIT/DDS). Requires ability to troubleshoot electro/mechanical assemblies, and to perform detailed mechanical and electrical repairs. AA/AS degree (preferably in Electrical or Mechanical) and/or min. of 2-3 yrs. of related technician experience. AA/AS degree not required but preferred. Experience in trouble shooting and maintenance of electro-mechanical products. (preferably tape, optical or consumer audio/video products or other similar. Must be able to take notes and organize key points. Experience in small part mechanical trouble shooting and failure analysis. Experience in use of small electric and hand tools for assembly and disassembly. Experience in electronic device trouble shooting and failure analysis, Software integration and software upgrades. Experience in electronic repair including component level parts removal and soldering, and small mechanical parts removal and installation. Must be knowledgeable in Testing computer peripheral product (utilizing windows and DOS programs). Good knowledge MS Excel, Word etc. Must be able to create analysis reports and trend graphs. Must understand and follow written process flow charts. Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Must be a team player and a motivated self-starter. Must be able to multi-task to achieve required productivity. Must have experience with VCRs and/or AIT, DDS, or LTO.
