Research Technician

The Research Technician is responsible for new product validation testing, product development testing, and assisting in research projects.  This work can include, but is not limited to, new testing/verification of processes or products in the lab environment, development of new equipment and/or testing protocols to support this testing, as well as assistance in R&D projects, new product development and new process development.

Essential Functions:
1.  Develop validation protocols under broad guidelines.
2.  Prepare and/or develop test equipment and procedures for validation and development testing and incorporate into the company quaity system for release.
3.  Conduct product development and validation testing.
4.  Provide concise written reports for project updates and final reports on completed projects.
5.  Work with customers as required in joint development efforts.
6.  Assist in R&D and development as required.
7.  Other technical or research work may be assigned.

Knowldege, Skills and Experience:
1.  Two year Automated Manuafacturing Systmens Technician degree, Electromechanical Technology degree or equivelant (or substitue experience).
2.  Minimum 1-2 years of technical experience.
3.  Ability to analyze product and process requirments, development and execute project plans of limited scope, have a quality focus, good oral and written technical presentation skills, teamwork.
