Qualifications:
GENERAL FUNCTION This position will be responsible for directing and coordinating the national account sales efforts within a specified region. You will be responsible for building and expanding relationships within assigned national building products retailers to achieve sales, customer satisfaction and account profitability goals, promote existing and new building products, and conduct training for the retailer organization in the areas of selling skills, product knowledge, technical information and installation. In addition, position will be responsible for merchandising assigned product categories in store, executing defined marketing and sales promotional initiatives, identifying opportunities to expand product representation in assigned stores and driving CertainTeed category penetration.GENERAL FUNCTION This position will be responsible for directing and coordinating the national account sales efforts within a specified region. In addition, position will be responsible for merchandising assigned product categories in store, executing defined marketing and sales promotional initiatives, identifying opportunities to expand product representation in assigned stores and driving CertainTeed category penetration.Territory: NJ, New York MetroDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES • Complete 3-5 store visits per day depending upon territory size/geography, covering a multi-state region focused on big box home• In-store service comprised of merchandising review, in-stock level/mix analysis based on sales/turns, promotional execution and program implementation; Third party rep management (where applicable)• Retail associate training in selling skills, product/technical information. Utilize customer/ associate-level installation training to create pull-through sales.• Relationship development and management at Store (SGM, Dept. Manager, IMA, Service Rep [if applicable], Dept. Associates and In-Store Merchandising), District (DM – Retailer/Service Group) and Regional (Regional Merchandise Manager, RM – Retailer/Service Group) levels• Sales analysis and reporting; Market analysis, including competitive shops (assortment reviews, pricing analysis, inventory checks); and promotions tracking• Identify opportunities for SKU expansion in key accounts through relationship management, “solutions” oriented program development and implementation as well as new product introductions. • Track and report sales call activity to management. • Identifies opportunities for expansion of revenue in key accounts through value-added selling approach.• Analyzes data for improvements in go-to-market activities. Reports findings to executive management when appropriate.Requirements: To drive and grow profitable sales, our ideal candidate profile includes at least 3 years sales experience, preferably in the building products industry, excellent relationship building skills and a high level of detail orientation. Additionally, candidates must be self-directed and motivated, able to effectively plan for short and long term objectives, possess strong computer skills and be willing to travel up to 50% across assigned territory encompassing multiple states. Consultative selling and strong communication, influencing, negotiating, analytical, time/project management skills are assumed. College degree is required.
