Job Title: Rotating Team Leader

Scope of Position:
- Operations supervisor, driving manufacturing efficiencies, through utilization of process tools, procedures and maximizing employees’ skills and talents.
- Team Leader; Direct, develop and coach Operations Associates, safety, training, scheduling and production Coordinators.
- Link to the Quality, Engineering, Technical, and Manufacturing Support groups.
- Supports Environmental Technologies Automotive Product lines, Diesel firing support and manufacturing improvements
- Green and Fired End process improvement and 6 sigma projects. Supports engineering process improvement experimentation and projects through Rotation Leadership.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Coordinate resources and activities to successfully complete the manufacturing of CELCOR substrates.
- Responsible for the supervision and performance of approximately 53 Operations Associates and 7 contract employees working in a team based environment.
- Determine work assignments with specific instructions to meet the daily production and shipping requirements.
- Provide coaching to the teams and coordinators, communicate and delegate daily responsibilities to Operations Associates.
- Coordinating the activities of Operations Associates working in the areas of quality, raw materials, extrusion, inspection, packing and shipping.
- Monitor rotation/team performance. Sets expectations and objectives for team.
- Drive process control through the utilization of standard operating set ups, checklist and procedures.
- Make critical decisions concerning quality, down time, staffing and schedule changes.
- Conduct a daily pre shift meeting to review the shift performance, daily operations activities, plant safety, quality and production goals.
- Manage shift and rotation staffing based on the line prioritization, required to utilize Automatic Time and Attendance to track attendance and verify pay.
- Enforce adherence to plant policies and procedures.
Required Education:
- BS degree required, BS in engineering with supervisory experience preferred. Previous Military leadership training or Supervisory Experience in a Manufacturing Environment with significant technical training may also be considered.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Manufacturing systems and practices
- Knowledge of the CELCOR process or other ceramic processes.
- Experience in working in a team based environment.
- Experienced in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Solid interpersonal/communication skills.
