1. Position Summary
Responsible for proactively selling and/or prospecting for new business in accordance with defined organizational selling methodologies to attain defined objectives.  The candidate must have experience in a selling and customer support environment.  An understanding of the specialty metals and metal powders industry is preferable.

2. Responsibilities / Duties


Ø  Develop and manage sales projects involving new business development

Ø  Proactively sell and/or prospect for new business

Ø  Understand and determine customer current and future material needs and document to appropriate parties

Ø  Provide product support and assist in resolution of customer issues

Ø  Maintain phone and email communication, and some limited face-to-face communication, with customers

Ø  Maintain an effective collaborative relationship with management and other sales professionals

Ø  Follow all company procedures including those pertaining to communication, submitting reports and maintaining the company CRM database.

Ø  Achieve sales and activity objectives

Ø  Some limited travel may be required

3. Skills & Qualifications
Ø  Strong interpersonal skills and sales aptitude required

Ø  Superior “change-management” skills and an ability to work independently

Ø  Proficiency in desktop software programs necessary in successfully executing against job requirements, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Access

Ø  Ability to take initiative to monitor and continuously improve efforts.  Must demonstrate discipline in maintaining the needed business development activities to meet and exceed goals

Ø  Exceptional organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task

Ø  Exceptional written, oral communication and presentation skills to facilitate communication and interaction with all staff levels as well as prospective customers.  Must be able to clearly document activities and communicate effectively with all personnel and departments.
