SAP MM/PP Business Consultant

Primary Objective: Project execution of SAP ERP projects, with main responsibilities in the MM and PP modules

As part of the establishment of its newly created North America Centre of Excellence SAP (NA CoE), Mohawk Industries is looking for dynamic and highly enthusiastic SAP Business Consultants. The company operates under four divisions with its own products, features, and brand names.  In order to further develop its IS strategy, Mohawk Industries has just founded its NA CoE SAP to support its NA operations. Together with the European CoE SAP, the NA CoE will primarily be responsible for the roll-out of the Mohawk NA SAP Roadmap: (1) Implementation of SAP in the Mohawk Engineered and Solid Wood division (Columbia Flooring) (2) Implementation of SAP in the Mohawk Ceramic Tiles Samples division (Dal-Tile Samples) (3) Enhancements and support in the existing SAP implementation of the Mohawk Laminate division (Unilin Flooring) Mohawk is looking for practical team players that have a tremendous interest in business processes, together with a solid and broad SAP knowledge. Our future Business Consultant will have the unique talent to talk to the business in business terms, but to think in SAP terminology, processes and solutions. The Business Consultant will spend a lot of time interacting with the business and senior management, determining the best strategy for the business. Once this strategy is determined, the Business Consultant will translate this strategy into sound SAP solutions, while continuously exchanging ideas with the European CoE. Once the solution is defined, the Business Consultant will have full responsibility to implement and support this solution, in order to ensure that all IS systems are always in line with the business needs. The SAP Business Consultant position is a permanent position. Travel will be required. International exposure (Mexico and Europe) is another asset of this function. Major Functions and Scope:

 

• Perform project management and execution of all MM/PP SAP projects (and other related applications) to ensure that all projects are completed within the agreed upon time and budget and according to the agreed upon functional specifications • Build an understanding of the business Materials Management functional area (Purchasing of raw materials and finished products, pricing, stock management, flows between multiple global production plants and / or external warehouses, master data, …) and the Planning functional area (demand management, production planning, Bill of Materials, Production orders, reporting) • Build an understanding of the current SAP MM-PP implementation (SAP and related systems) both from the business and IS perspective, including the global S&OP process and resulting SAP APO setup • Perform functional analysis, working with the business, to determine how the business processes can be mapped to the Mohawk Global SAP Template in order to reflect the ever changing business environment • Perform country specific configuration changes to the SAP FICO modules in order to ensure that the business processes are in line with the Mohawk Global SAP Template • Advise on major configuration changes & enhancements to the consultants and project leaders in the EU CoE if business processes would require additions or changes in the Mohawk Global SAP Template • Test configured solutions (Internal IS testing and integration testing) and co-ordinates the User Acceptance Testing • Train users on new IS solutions • Implement solutions and work together with the business in order to ensure successful promotions to the production environments • Provide end user support on implemented projects • In co-operation with the Business Consultant SAP SD, complete for enhancement requests on the SAP APO module, taking into account the results of any change on the global organization • Monitor and remediate the software interface from the host SAP system to all related IS subsystems and vice versa • Act as primary business contact for future SAP BI reporting questions. Assume full responsibility for creation, testing and promotion of Inventory driven reports within SAP BI • Be familiar with IS concepts of Integration and Conversion • Comply with all company safety rules and procedures • Perform other duties as assigned Experience:

 • 3-5 years of experience with SAP MM-PP • Good knowledge of SAP MM and SAP PP concepts (Purchasing, Third-Party Setup, Subcontracting, Plant setup, Pricing, MPS, MRP, Forecasting ) • Knowledge of the SAP MM – SAP SD Interface is a must • Knowledge of the SAP BI module is definitely a plus
