Job Description SAP Operations Analyst Job Summary/Purpose: The SAP Operations Analyst will work closely with the Manufacturing department in configuring and maintaining the SAP MM and PP modules. Individual will serve as technical SAP lead for the Operations team, and be the primary interface to the corporate SAP Core Team. Individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills to help maximize the benefit of SAP in the manufacturing environment for the Business Unit (BU). This position will work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making business process recommendations. Individual will work with business end users and team members on support, implementation, training, and optimization issues. Essential Job Functions:· Develop strong partnerships with Operations leadership team in order to understand the strategic direction, business processes and business needs of all functional areas, and translate them into value added SAP deliverables. · Participate in all phases of the implementation process and rollout of SAP modules (as required).· Validate SAP fit to the company's business requirements; identify workarounds and business process changes, if necessary. · Analyze and evaluate requirements for systems solutions that improve business processes and increase productivity.· Develop overall process expertise in SAP by completing extensive training sessions.· Participate in technical and business process issue resolution.· Work aggressively to ensure product Master Data accuracy and integration, and lead efforts to correct issues/problems, as required.· Follow all design work and integration testing procedures, change control procedures practices in performing required work.· Facilitate knowledge transfer, communication, and interaction between various functional organizations and the corporate SAP Core Team. · Work with others in the SAP environment in learning / mentoring situations.· Proactively participate in the integration between related SAP functions from an application perspective with other Business System Analysts.· Perform testing activities (unit and integration), including test plan creation and data and test execution (in conjunction with the other functional team leads).· Address post-go live issues escalated by users. · Review, create, and deliver training content. Other Job Responsiblities:· Position is responsible for overall MM and PM modules, as well as team leadership of SAP projects, enhancements and on-going functional support. · Manage SAP Functional project plans from conception to completion for Materials Management (MM) and Plant Maintenance (PM) · Responsible for the collection, analysis and documentation of SAP Operations business processes and requirements Establish controls to reduce and eliminate product cost/margin errors · Review SAP Margin Analysis report daily (prior day bookings) with Dir Ops · Work with Inside Sales to identify and eliminate 0.00 standard saleable items· Support Purchasing to eliminate 0.00 standard purchased items Maintain ownership of product costing for all standard and non-standard assemblies· Identify, monitor, and correct BOM issues as they arise· Ensure labor content is properly compiled and applied to correct assemblies· Identify, monitor,and correct SAP router errors in production (labor content) Supervisory Responsibility: None Key Business Metrics: KBM 14: Product On-Time Delivery KBM 15: Production Schedule Accomplishment KBM 18: Manufacturing Cycle Time Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.· 3-5 years relevant professional business experience in a Manufacturing/Purchasing environment. · Strong understanding of SAP application and database development concepts· Experience with SAP MM and PP modules required.· Strong and “demonstrated” verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms required.· Strong and “demonstrated” analytical problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively on cross-functional project teams required.· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, and Project).
