SCIENTIST/SR. SCIENTIST

 

This is a research position within the Fragrance Performance Group; the individual’s main responsibility will be providing analytical measurements/technical understanding/product support  for the fragrance performance program.  This position will include collaborations with the sensory group to provide complimentary sensory performance data.  The candidate will also be required to provide analysis support and technology understanding within this area.  Analysis support will include product analyses, sample preparation, GC and GC/MS analyses/interpretation.  It will also include performing sensory studies when required to compliment the analytical results.  Ongoing recording and clear communication of results and analyses will be essential. 

 

REQUIREMENTS-

 

Essential:

 

· The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field. 

 

· The individual should have experience in analytical and/or organic chemistry.  Effective interpersonal and communication skills essential. 

 

Preferred:

 

· The ideal individual will have some industrial experience/knowledge in personal care and home care products.  Previous experience in GC/GC-MSD analysis and/or sensory testing is highly desired.  In addition, the ideal individual will have excellent organizational and communication skills, be able to handle multiple tasks, many with tight time constraints, and have a can-do attitude.
