SECURITY SPECIALIST

A Diversified Corporation in the Jackson, Mississippi area currently has an opening for a Security Specialist.

 

This is a regulatory compliance position and not a security guard.

 

This position is responsible for developing, evaluating, and implementing current security requirements and for projecting future security requirements at our many locations.

 

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in a position related to implementing federal, state, and local regulations dealing with one or more of the following regulatory programs: environmental, safety and health, security, U.S. Coast Guard, or the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). 

 

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.

 

An acceptable candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

 

This position requires frequent overnight travel. The ability to obtain a government security clearance is a prerequisite for this position.
