SHEET METAL CNC FABRICATOR/PLANNER

SUMMARY:

 

The incumbent has primary responsibility of Amada CNC Press Brakes and Turrets including planning, programming, layout, set-up, operations and inspections of all prototype, first article, first run and of all facits of CNC high speed manufacturing.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Program edit, layout, operations, set-ups, and troubleshooting of Amada CNC Press Brakes and Turrets for the fabrication of precision sheet metal components

· Perform 1st article inspections on first run programs

· Set up and operations for prototype, first article and first run parts

· Responsible for planning, material and hardware purchasing, flat pattern layout, precision fabrication

· Continual monitoring in a high speed manufacturing environment through established manufacturing practices

· Must perform all work in accordance with all applicable safety procedures

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty efficiently, safely and in an acceptable manner

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; follow written and/or verbal orders; read, write, speak and comprehend English

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

· Capacity to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving variable in standardized situations; understand fundamental flow of shop material and its problems or material handling
