SHIPPING COORDINATOR- 402638
SUMMARY
Under general supervision, provides administrative and staff support to the department. Performs productivity, allocation and inventory report analysis to ensure timely and accurate shipping.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Updates and processes truck productivity reports.
• Produces order allocation reports and handles allocation issues.
• Produces forklift and trailer inspection reports.
• Tracks and monitors issues reported through JIRA system. Runs variance reports; reconciles issues.
• Attends daily tactical meetings regarding inventory status/truck deliveries and reports information to Operations Managers.
• Monitors and verifies rail car switches.
• Collects data and provides reports to assist with budgeting.
• Maintains labor worksheets, plans manpower requirements, scheduling, overtime needs. Tracks issues.
• Tracks attendance and vacations.
• Communicates and interprets administrative and operating policies and procedures.
• Serves as liaison with others internally and outside the organization regarding issues related to the department.
• Other related reports as needed.
• Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in business or related field from a four-year college or university, plus 0-2 years experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
SKILLS
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Computer skill requirements include: Intermediate MS Word, MS Access and MS Powerpoint; advanced MS Excel.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
