Our globally recognized brands include Sharpie, Paper Mate, DYMO, EXPO, Waterman, Parker, Rolodex, IRWIN, LENOX, BernzOmatic, Rubbermaid, Graco, Calphalon, Goody, and Teutonia. This is a job summary which includes essential job duties of the position.  More specific information regarding duties may be provided upon request for particular locations and facilities. The SOX Finance Specialist is responsible for governing the internal controls and user access security within the SAP environment and assessing the operating effectiveness of internal controls over processes that impact financial reporting for Newell Rubbermaid.  Key responsibilities include: Evaluating internal controls in an SAP environment and legacy ERP systems. Creating innovative solutions to mitigate SAP/ERP user control conflicts and assisting with implementation. Assisting the VP SOX with aggregating, monitoring and ensuring effectiveness of Corporate, Global Business Unit and International Region SOX controls.This individual is responsible for working collaboratively with resources in many different functions across NewellRubbermaid, Inc.  The SOX Finance Specialist must posses the aptitude for understanding the risk assessment process, including estimating the likelihood of occurrence, and determining needed corrective actions. In addition, this individual will manage and resolve SOX segregation of duties governance; maintain awareness of organizational changes; and identify process improvements.  The SOX Finance Specialist will identify and cultivate relationships with key customers within NewellRubbermaid.  Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the area of SAP Security 3+ years experience in Finance, Audit or SOX internal controls Travel up to 30%. Run and interpret SAP GRC Compliance Calibrator data, highly preferred Experience evaluating controls in an SAP environment and SAP GRC/Virsa experience preferred. Demonstrated experience utilizing project plans, issues logs, risk/mitigation strategies, automated testing tools, cost/benefit analysis tools Ability to be adaptable to a variety of team roles, such as; analyst, tester, collaborator, documentation writer, trainer, team lead, mentor, advisor Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with other staff to resolve issuesPreferred Qualifications:?
