Summary:
Install, repair, maintain, and adjust equipment by performing the following duties:
Essential Functions:Assemble, calibrate, test and troubleshoot mechanical components and circuits, harnesses, and instruments. Working independently, and while interacting with customers, install, start-up, performance test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at customer locations. Inspect and test equipment prior to shipping to customer. Train customers on theory of operation and on operation and maintenance of equipment. Create and maintain service records and reports using the appropriate software such as Word, Excel, etc. Make product improvement recommendations. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Practical experience in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment required. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and industry codes and standards. Ability to organize tasks and schedule work so that it is completed on time. Ability to effectively perform work independently or within a team. Excellent interpersonal skills required: skilled at written and oral communication, able to work constructively with customers and code enforcement officials, able to effectively explain function of equipment to customers. Spanish helpful but not required. Valid driver’s license with good driving record required. Ability to operate various tools and instruments including hydraulic tools, drills, grinders gages and meters for electrical components. Previous experience with Wastewater Treatment Equipment a plus. Welding experience, especially on Stainless steel a plus.
Job Requirements:
This position does require the ability to travel extensively. Overnight travel is a requirement. It also requires the ability to work holidays and weekends.Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision.Possesses and exhibit high moral and ethical standards.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
