Safety/Environmental Manager

Greenville Metals, Inc., a division of Precision Castparts Corp., produces metallurgical products using many techniques including electric arc furnace, AOD, induction furnaces, and various crushing, grinding, and sizing equipment. Our products include nickel, cobalt, and iron based (particularly stainless steel) alloys produced as ingots, pigs, shot and powder.

 

GMI is seeking a highly motivated, qualified person to fill the role of Safety/Environmental Manager at our Transfer, Pennsylvania location. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

 Proactive plant floor presence which identifies and corrects substandard conditions Develop and implement safety programs assuring compliance with all Federal and State safety laws and guidelines. Work with outside regulatory bodies for permitting and compliance issues Train salary and hourly workforce via monthly safety meetings.  Requires crossing shifts Maintain plant safety records with corrective actions and timing Analyze safety metrics, prepare reports and take action to make improvements Promote general safety and environmental awareness throughout the plant Plans and conducts new employee safety orientations. Flexible work schedule to cross shifts as required for training needs or follow-up to specific issues

 

 Education and experience:Bachelor degree in related field of study3-5 years experience in a related field
