Key Responsibilities' Support the plant safety system, including:o Incident Investigationo Incident Corrective Action Tracking & Closureo Safety Project Managemento Safety Management Reviewo Supervise DWU Safety Rep / Safety Meeting' Lead the facilities management:o Liaise with Corporate Facilities. (Manage all aspects not covered by Corporate Facilities)o Functional leadership of plant security and emergency response team.o Conduct plant risk assessment and follow-up activity.o Negotiate service contractso Supervise Facilities Maintenance / Improvement Teamo Yard Management' Lead the plant Environmental Management System' General plant-wide project management & execution.o Project Manage Operational Improvements' Manage capital spending processo Review and approve RFAso Develop the strategic plan for capital investment' Manage plant energy usage' Manage indirect stores' Apply Cummins Manufacturing Systems (TBWS, Lean, COS, etc.) within Seymour environment. Skills' Functional/Technical Industrial/Process engineering (Assembly, Post Assembly & Machining) Plant/Facility engineering & facilities environmental compliance (ISO 14001) OSHA, ergonomic, general safety, & legal compliance Familiarity with operations work systems (TBWS) Project management & task execution Manufacturing new product introduction & integration Financial planning, cost management, and large budget maintenance' Quality/Improvement Six Sigma (use of statistics in common problem solving techniques) Use of formal problem solving methods Formal Quality Systems knowledge & application (QS 9000)' Teamwork Develop effective working relationships with all levels of the organization Group facilitation and consensus building Ability to perform within a plant operating team role Operate within a team based environment ' Leadership Ability to influence business direction/decisions  Experience in direct management, coaching, and individual development Experience in group presentation and effective organizational communicationsEducation/Experience' Operations (Quality, Safety, Production) leadership' Large group leadership' Capital project management' BA/BS or Grad (Engineering, Business Management.)"Cummins Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Affirmative Action Employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace."
