Safety & Health Manager

The Goodyear Tire and Rubber company currently has an opening for a Safety & Health Manager in Topeka, Kansas.   

Purpose:  The Manager of Safety & Health must function as a part of the plant team and give guidance and direction to all business center organizations.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Lead the development and implementation of a safety strategy

-Manage the overall corporate safety program to achieve established safety performance targets

-Develop, manage, and maintain all required occupational health and safety programs

-Serve as the primary interface with OSHA on all compliance and enforcement actions

-Develop and maintain safety performance metrics, statistics, records, injury reporting, and record keeping systems

-Actively participate in safety and industrial hygiene internal audits, training programs, performance reviews, and conferences

Qualifications/Requirements:

-Bachelor's Degree required-graduate degree preferred

-5-7 years safety & health experience in a manufacturing environment

-3-5 years union experience

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Proficient Microsoft Office skills

-Superior team building skills
