Safety and Training Specialist

The Safety and Training Specialist will be responsible for: assisting in the administration, implementation and monitoring of safety programs; developing procedures and training programs to ensure appropriate levels of health and safety and governmental compliance matters are maintained. Additional responsibilities will include: accident investigations; safety inspections; coordination of worker's compensation program; and development of quality training programs to improve overall plant safety.  Additionally, the incumbent will work closely with the HR Manager to produce a variety of training programs that pertain to Safety, as well as, other areas of training throughout the Company. Training programs will be carried out using a variety of learning solutions to include online training systems (e-learning).

Candidates with some exposure to Lean Manufacturing skills will get strong consideration.
