Sales Assistant

The Inside Sales Assistant (SA) will ensure the mission and core values of Mountain Lumber Company are upheld. It is the function of the SA working to inspire, motivate and encourage Homeowners and Professionals to purchase Mountain Lumber products for their projects.  They will assist as directed by the SM to support the sales process at Mountain Lumber, while promoting an atmosphere of high moral character and professionalism.

Education and experience:
• Degree preferred
• 3 or more years of sales experience dealing in inside sales 
• 3 years experience in the flooring / wood products industry preferred

Responsibilities:
The Inside Sales Assistant is responsible to execute sales related activities for the company in reaching budgeted levels. This includes:
•Following Mountain Lumber Leads
•Contact 100% of Homeowner Brochure Requests
•Contact Professional Brochure Requests as directed by Sales Manager (SM)
•Sample Kit Follow ups if necessary. As directed by Sales Manger
•Forward hot prospects to SM for dispersal to sales staff
•Assist with project work
•Trade show follow up calls
•Call assigned leads
•Peruse periodicals for building professional and send initial contact letter.
•Post sale follow up.
•Look for referrals
•Send Histories to clients quarterly
•Assist with outside channel activities
•Process proposals and or work orders for dealers calling in.
•Process proposals and or work orders for outside sales staff calling in.
•PrHandle questions from outside sales channels or staff.

• Foster Teamwork: Sales Team, Marketing Team, Sample Room Staff, Administrative Assistant
• Follow corporate policies
• Attend weekly Sales Meeting
• Meet or Exceed Sales Goals
• Sell overstocked and limited inventory items
• Support calls as directed by the SM
• Reporting
• Track actual sales from trade shows
• Aid in annual competitive shopping and analysis
• To maintain all paper work and files in a way that job information can be found for your customer if you are not in.
• Miscellaneous
• Off site visits as needed or required
• To be available for special projects and other perfunctory duties as needed.
• To participate in maintaining our Ruckersville office in a proper condition for customer’s visit
