Sales Coordinator

Business Unit Description SPX Flow Control - Copes-Vulcan is a supplier of globe style Control Valves and Steam Conditioning Equipment serving both the Power Generation and Process Industries. The Company was founded in 1903 and currently has two manufacturing sites in the United States and one in the United Kingdom. We are recognized as a world leader in valves for severe and critical service applications. Job Summary Coordinate sales activities and communications, both written and verbal, in response to inquiries from our representative sales agents and prospective customers. Responsibilities - Secure bookings by providing timely, concise and accurate information to field representatives and customers. - Review customers¿ specification and commercial terms and develop detailed proposals offering Copes Vulcan equipment in a timely and professional manner.- Aggressively follow-up on proposals with field representatives and customers. - Ensure that all specifications and terms and conditions have been addressed and that the proper products are configured for sale. - Maintain detailed knowledge of production application/uses and competitors¿ offerings and sales strategies.- Submit to Cost Estimating the necessary data required for them to arrive at the equipment cost and the requested net selling price by gross margin percentages.- Whenever necessary, obtain equipment selection and pricing for outside buy items needed to complete our scope of supply.- Negotiate final sale in coordination with field sales office.- Assist Director of Sales in creating and implementing strategies for growing the business.- Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or as responsibilities necessitate. Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or Management or equivalent; or minimum of three to five years related experience and/or training in the power industry market, with a broad knowledge of all types of valves; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.Strong knowledge of Lotus Notes preferred .Strong written and verbal communication skills.Must be self-directed and have initiative.Ability to multi-task.Ability to work well with others.Strong organizational skills.
